When I first thought of what I would write here, I imagine writing something about Expointer, the animal exploitation and the concept of the animal as merchandise. But then, something as important as this issue happened and I changed my mind. A good friend of mine was attacked by two men carrying a 38-shot gun in front of the institution where she studies. They took everything but her life (which is good enough, I’d say).
You are probably thinking that this is everyday news, it happens all the time and I’m not telling you anything interesting.
But, the reason I’m telling you the story of this friend, is exactly to make you feel like I’m: angry! And I’m feeling furious because people are not as angry as me. Everybody has just gotten so used to this kind of violence that it has become routine. And this is just absurd! It shouldn’t happen. People must be indignant and surprised. People must be as mad as I am right now, for begging for something basic, safety, and don't hear any answer.
