What are people looking for? (by Anelise Sarantopoulos)
I was thinking about an article that I read in Veja magazine- edition 2067. It was about aesthetic and plastics that women and men do in order to become perfect.
I invite you to read this article because it portrays human being preoccupation with appearance and not with the essence. My question is: What are these people looking for?
If we read the article and observe the number of people that do a plastic surgery we will understand that this exceeded the normality. The doctors have named these people who have done plastic surgery compulsively “dismorfia”. The patient who suffer from this, never think that it is time to stop doing plastics and never is self-satisfied with appearance and his/her body. The problem is the doctors who earn money with this people and who don’t have any ethic. They should advise these patients that it is necessary to look for psychiatry and begin a therapy, but they don’t do it and commit atrocities in consent with theirs patients that are desperate with appearance.
I think we should pay attention to this problem that have been appeared in our society and that reflect what we are looking for.
